Why is the Maasai Mara famous?

The Maasai Mara is famous because it hosts the Great Migration, one of the largest wildlife movements on Earth. Every year, more than two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move between Tanzania's Serengeti and Kenya's Maasai Mara. The reserve is also renowned for its abundant lion populations, excellent leopard sightings, cheetah encounters, hot-air balloon safaris, and outstanding wildlife photography opportunities.
