What is Lake Nakuru National Park?

Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya's most famous protected areas and a cornerstone of the country's safari circuit. Located within the Great Rift Valley approximately 160 kilometers northwest of Nairobi, the park covers about 188 square kilometers and surrounds the shallow alkaline waters of Lake Nakuru. The park is internationally recognized for its rhino conservation programs, exceptional birdlife, scenic landscapes, and diverse wildlife populations.
