Gorilla trekking permit cancellation policy?

Direct answer

UWA's cancellation policy for Uganda gorilla permits (July 2024–June 2026 tariff) refunds 75% if cancelled 91+ days before the trek, 50% at 46–90 days, 25% at 9–45 days, and 0% within 8 days or for no-shows. Rwanda RDB permits are generally non-refundable once purchased. Illness cancellations with a valid medical report may qualify for a 50% UWA refund. All requests must be submitted in writing through UWA or your licensed operator.
