Home FAQ Cost & budget

Can I pay safari in installments?

Direct answer

Many Uganda operators accept installment plans—typically 30–50% deposit at booking with balance due 30–60 days before departure. Gorilla permits (0) are usually paid in full upfront because UWA allocates dated slots on payment. Monthly payment schedules work for trips booked 6–12 months ahead; permit portions remain non-refundable regardless of payment plan.

Overview

Uganda combines mountain gorilla trekking, classic savannah game viewing, chimpanzee tracking, birding, and cultural experiences in a compact circuit. The right answer depends on your dates, fitness, budget, and whether you travel with a licensed operator who handles permits, road logistics, and park regulations.
