Morning guided walk through Stone Town — House of Wonders, Old Fort, Anglican Cathedral (former slave market), and the famous carved Zanzibar doors. Lunch at a harbour-view rooftop restaurant.

Afternoon boat to Prison Island (Changuu) — a short dhow ride across the channel to see century-old Aldabra giant tortoises, some over 100 years old. Snorkel off the reef fringing the island; parrotfish, angelfish and occasional sea turtles inhabit the shallow coral.

Afternoon transfer to a south-west coast lodge near Kizimkazi or Fumba. Reef snorkelling from the beach, kayaking, or simply unwind with a sunset over the Indian Ocean. Dolphins are occasionally spotted offshore near Kizimkazi.

Relaxed beach morning — swim, snorkel the house reef, or book an optional dolphin trip from Kizimkazi (seasonal, best Nov–Mar). The south-west coast has quieter reefs than the north and suits travellers who prefer a low-key finale.
