Direct answer
Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park generally offers shorter treks (1–4 hours) on more open volcanic slopes at 2,500–3,500 m. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is steeper and denser, with treks often lasting 2–8 hours through thick rainforest at 1,160–2,607 m—more demanding, but UWA can place less-fit trekkers in Buhoma or Ruhija sectors with nearer gorilla families.
