Can I do safari without long drives?

Direct answer

Yes, with domestic flights and tight routing—fly Entebbe–Kihihi for Bwindi, Entebbe–Pakuba for Murchison, and keep Queen Elizabeth as a hub with short drives to Kazinga Channel and Ishasha (1–2 hours within the park). Entering from Kigali (4–5 hours to Bwindi's Rushaga) also shortens the first leg versus Entebbe; you cannot eliminate all driving on multi-park Uganda circuits.

Overview

Uganda combines mountain gorilla trekking, classic savannah game viewing, chimpanzee tracking, birding, and cultural experiences in a compact circuit. The right answer depends on your dates, fitness, budget, and whether you travel with a licensed operator who handles permits, road logistics, and park regulations.
