Direct answer
Kigali International Airport (KGL) is the main gateway — a modern terminal 10 km east of downtown Kigali with direct flights from Europe (Brussels, London), the Middle East (Doha, Dubai), and East African hubs (Nairobi, Entebbe, Addis Ababa). Volcanoes NP is 2–3 hours northwest by road; Akagera is 2.5 hours east. No bush airstrips serve gorilla trekking — all road transfers.
