Home FAQ Gorilla trekking

What happens after the trek?

Direct answer

After your one-hour gorilla encounter, you hike back to the trailhead where UWA issues a certificate of completion. Most itineraries return to lodge for a late lunch, then afternoon rest or optional Batwa community visit. Fly-in guests may catch an afternoon AeroLink flight from Kihihi or Kisoro; road safaris often transfer toward Queen Elizabeth or Lake Bunyonyi the same day.

Overview

Uganda combines mountain gorilla trekking, classic savannah game viewing, chimpanzee tracking, birding, and cultural experiences in a compact circuit. The right answer depends on your dates, fitness, budget, and whether you travel with a licensed operator who handles permits, road logistics, and park regulations.
