Home FAQ Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking refund policy?

Direct answer

Uganda refunds follow UWA's tiered schedule: 75% at 91+ days notice, 50% at 46–90 days, 25% at 9–45 days, and nothing within 8 days. If trackers fail to locate gorillas through no fault of yours, UWA may reschedule or offer up to 60% refund on warden confirmation. Rwanda RDB permits are non-refundable. Tour operator deposits and lodge payments follow separate cancellation terms — travel insurance covers non-refundable permit losses.

Overview

Uganda combines mountain gorilla trekking, classic savannah game viewing, chimpanzee tracking, birding, and cultural experiences in a compact circuit. The right answer depends on your dates, fitness, budget, and whether you travel with a licensed operator who handles permits, road logistics, and park regulations.
