4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Karisimbi Hiking
Rwanda · Gorillas & Karisimbi
No-obligation proposal with named lodges, included permits and a complete safari price.
Tour overview
The 4-Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Mount Karisimbi Hike offers the same unforgettable Virunga adventure as our gorilla and Karisimbi combination safari. Begin with Rwanda’s premier primate experience—gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park—before taking on the challenging two-day ascent of Mount Karisimbi (4,507 metres). The hike includes an overnight stay at a high-altitude camp, followed by a rewarding climb to the summit amid spectacular Virunga scenery.
Not for casual walkers: Karisimbi's muddy trails, cold summit night, and 8–10 hours total climbing require preparation. Gorilla treks may last 1–4 hours in bamboo and hagenia forest on Volcanoes' slopes.
