Home FAQ Cost & budget

Is tipping included in safari price?

Direct answer

No — tipping is almost never included in Kenya safari prices. Standard practice is USD 15–25 per person per day for your driver-guide and USD 5–10 per person per day for lodge staff (often pooled in a communal tip box). Carry clean, undamaged USD bills in USD 1, 5, 10, and 20 denominations; coins are not accepted. Some luxury camps include a service charge — check your invoice.
