Is tipping expected in Kenya?

Direct answer

Yes — tipping is customary and almost never included in safari prices. Standard practice is USD 15–25 per person per day for your driver-guide and USD 5–10 per person per day for lodge staff (often pooled in a communal tip box). Carry clean USD bills in small denominations; coins are not accepted. Some luxury camps add a 10% service charge — check your invoice.

Uganda combines mountain gorilla trekking, classic savannah game viewing, chimpanzee tracking, birding, and cultural experiences in a compact circuit.
