Home FAQ Cost & budget

How much deposit is required?

Direct answer

Most Uganda safari operators require 30–50% deposit at booking to secure gorilla permits (0 pp, often paid in full immediately to UWA), lodge reservations, and vehicle allocation. Peak-season (June–September, December–February) bookings may demand 50% upfront. Balance is typically due 30–60 days before travel; credit-card payments may carry a 3–5% surcharge.
